Pastoral Care Groups

A truly important aspect of life at Merton Park Baptist is our Pastoral Care Groups - PCG for short.

They each meet twice a month on different evenings of the week in home-group settings but are, in fact designed to be much more than just for those able to attend the home-groups.

Each home-group has developed its own characteristics but all have the aim of building faith, deepening our understanding of God and encouraging each other.

PCG Group

Through the PCGs we aim to care and support the whole church as group members are encouraged to look after and pray for one another.

In addition, there are frequent opportunities to socialise together and to demonstrate love towards one another in practical ways.

Below is a summary of each group's activities.

A friendly group for those interested in a more conventional worship session whom meet ever other Wednesday.

If your interested in a more peaceful session you can easily let your hair down in this group, pray over the needs that face us and find yourself among a caring community.

Grand Drive PCG together

A vibrant group of enigmatic individuals and partners. With a mix of creative multi sensory study and traditional prayer built for an active younger group.

Socials in the past have been open to anyone with bowling, beach trips, movie nights and barbecues.

Morden PCG Beach Trip

This group meets each Tuesday evening.

With a mix of fellowship, worship, Bible study and prayer there is a real sense of ‘family’ and caring among the group members.

The afternoon lasts for about ninety minutes during which time the group explores themes of the Christian life and their application for today through series of Bible studies.
